The purpose of astrology is to educate and empower individuals to learn about their predispositions and patterns so that they may use their free will to grow and prosper from each experience, thus fulfilling their Soul purpose. Using your birth information (date, exact time, place), I can reveal the layers of your soul. The natal chart — the snapshot of the sky when you were born — shows us why you are here, the adventures and obstacles you are working through this lifetime, and what you need to move through this lifetime with success. The most accurate astrology readings come to fruition when the client provides not only the date of birth, and city of birth, but also a precise birth time. The time we are born, sets up the stage for our life experiences. The natal chart is divided into 12 Houses, which are spheres of experience. At the time of your birth, a specific zodiac sign, known as the Rising Sign was coming upon the Eastern side of the horizon. This Rising Sign sets up the path of the birth chart, and depending upon the initial sign, the planets will be performing their journey in different areas of Earthly reincarnation. If you do not know your birth time, we can do a general reading which is still very helpful but will not show the fields of experience. This means that we will have to do a bit more investigative work during our session. It’s important. Let’s be honest. It’s what distinguishes you from all the other people born on the same day as you. A natal chart with an exact birth time is like looking at the fullness of your soul. BUT not everyone has access to their birth time for various reasons. In those cases I can look at something called the solar chart. If you don’t have your exact birth time, we can still work together! However if you can track down the record, it’s worth the effort. Additionally, my intuition is a major component to what I do, so that is something that I use in the absence of the birth time. Note that if you were born in the US, you can contact the vitals department of the state you were born in and request a new birth certificate. Make sure your request asks for the time.

The birth time and place sets up the structure of the chart including the Ascendant and Midheaven and exact placement of the Moon. But we can learn a great deal without the birth time if it is not available. We will know the degree and signs of all of the planets and the Sun, and we will have a pretty close idea of the Moon’s placement. If you don’t have a copy of your birth certificate email me with your place of birth and I can direct you to the appropriate place to contact. I don’t “rectify” charts per se (rectification is a very iffy business and I prefer not to rely on guesswork wherever possible), but if we know whether the birth took place in the morning, afternoon or at night (for example, just after lunch or after the Tonight Show) we can sometimes approximate a fairly specific birth time.

An astrological reading cannot tell you when you will meet your soulmate or win the lottery and much of what happens to us is part of the world that we create for ourselves. There is nothing in the birthchart that ever says you will never get married or are doomed to be a failure in your career. In fact, sometimes the most challenging placements can be found in the charts of the most successful people. An astrology reading can reveal patterns that may have hindered your relationships or career in the past, and suggest changes you can make that will enable you to be more successful in the future. We can also see what planetary cycles are coming that will facilitate relationships or career success, and which could bring challenges that will require adjustments in order to maneuver more easily.

I usually start our session by asking how much you know about astrology and asking what is going on right now. Usually people come to an astrologer because they are stuck or in crisis and need answers. My style of work tends to be very conversational with a good back and forth. The last thing I want is to talk at you and overload you with information. I want you to feel at ease as this opens you up energetically, allowing me to hear the energy behind your words. That’s where my intuition kicks in, adding another layer to the chart interpretation. I think a successful consultation is one where the client is willing to share their intimate experiences as it relates to the natal chart. Maybe it’s because I’m a Scorpio, but I don’t shy away from asking the difficult questions, especially if I see a difficult aspect in the natal chart. Note that our time together is sacred and confidential.

Energy shifts in your life as the planets in the sky moves. I spend a great deal of time before the reading appointment to prepare extensively for our session together. While I work within the traditional framework of astrology (i.e., self discovery and predictive work), I have a slightly different view on the planetary energies in the birth chart. When I look at an astrology chart, the planets reflect back with a vibration. I connect into that vibration, as it pulls me into past, current and future lives. The other component that I bring is my psychic medium work, and with each reading, there will be a confirmation message that comes through.

Sometimes I call what I do karmic astrology, sometimes I call it spiritual astrology. Regardless, I look at the natal chart as an expression of the soul’s intentions in this life time and the journey completed thus far.It’s a unique energetic schematic that reflects lessons learned, lessons yet to be completed, and baggage that needs releasing. The birth information — date, time, place — is like a passcode to the causal or Akashic plane of information that I can retrieve information from.

If you are looking to sit down in my office and for me to tell you your past, present, and future without engaging in astrology, tarot, or conversation, I’m not the right person for your needs. My intuitive ability is primarily focused on getting in touch with your deepest Soul yearning. This is achieved through synthesis of your chart, tarot, conversation, and energetic exchange.
